Job summary

Societe Generale SA is seeking a skilled production monitoring engineer in Hong Kong to industrialize and automate monitoring tools and to create new ones as needed. You will work closely with algo developers on the trading floor, optimize automated processes on the trading platform, and automate tests to reduce tool entropy.

The role emphasizes production stability, risk assessment, and timely issue management while adhering to cybersecurity and obsolescence timelines. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Financial banking preferred.
• Able to manage pressure with business requests on trading floor.
• Good knowledge of Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, Azure.
• Good knowledge of Python and ELK.
• Familiar with Shell commands; reliability and rigor.
• Knowledge of Global Markets, especially FIC perimeter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize and automate monitoring tools; create new ones when needed to secure production.
• Assess risks and opportunities of tools and processes; propose initiatives to reduce risks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with algo developers on the trading floor to improve automated processes on the trading platform.
• Automate existing manual system tests on the trading platform; reduce entropy of monitoring tools and scripts.
• Create documentation and report regularly on issues to management; monitor incidents, problems and requests.
• Ensure production stability, transparency, and timely follow-up of issues with deadlines; address cybersecurity and obsolescence timely.
