Job summary

KOS International Talent Group is seeking a senior risk management professional in Hong Kong to develop and enhance risk policies and controls. You will assess new products, manage credit risk, and coordinate IT requirements and UAT for risk systems.

The role requires strong communication in English and Chinese, plus knowledge of SFC rules and margin requirements. Senior candidates may be considered for leadership roles within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk/finance/business-related field.
• FRM or CFA qualification is preferred.
• Excellent English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop/improve risk policies, procedures and methodologies; execute credit control, margin calls, and credit approvals.
• Provide comments on credit limit applications for securities and commodities, VA businesses.
• Provide user requirements for IT system development related to risks and SFC rules; perform UAT.
• Risk assess new products and businesses; assist in developing risk control framework and related policies.
• Handle regular risk management reporting to the SFC.

Job description

• Develop/ improve risk policies, procedures and risk methodologies, execution of credit control, margin calls, credit approval;
• Provide comments on credit limits applications for securities and commodities, VA businesses;
• Provide user requirement for IT system development in respect of risks & relevant SFC rules, and perform UAT;
• Risk assessment on new products and businesses and assist in developing the risk control framework for new businesses/products including relevant risk management policies and procedures, systems and daily monitoring workflow;
• Handle regular reporting to the SFC related to Risk management perspective

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in securities industry risk management function;
• Bachelor or above in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines;
• Qualification in risk or financial management such as FRM or CFA is preferred;
• Knowledge of credit risk management methodologies, good Excel skill, VBA;
• In-depth knowledge in SFC securities margin rules, FRR;
• Experience in system implementation, project management or related tasks;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese);
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment;
• High standard of work ethics, integrity, and adherence to internal control;
• Proven leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills; a good team player;
