Job summary

Ele Bank Limited is seeking a senior derivatives product specialist to manage trading partnerships, onboarding processes, and risk controls within a Hong Kong licensed environment.

You will collaborate with Product & Engineering to launch advanced options flows, oversee onboarding, and drive client engagement through dashboards and data-driven insights. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, market structure familiarity, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or related
• 5+ years in derivatives at a HK-licensed institution; 3+ years in product/trading/ops
• HKSI Paper 1 (Type 1) licensed Representative on day one
• Strong equity options and structured notes knowledge: margins, Greeks, hedging
• Familiar with HKEX, CBOE and other derivatives rules
• Benchmarking-driven improvements: understand competitors' derivatives businesses
• Knowledge of SFC rules on Complex vs Non-complex Products

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact with group broker, exchanges and clearing houses; drive commercial agreements
• Partner with Product & Engineering to launch and improve options trading on App, including multi-leg flows
• Operationalise the tiered client onboarding framework for derivatives
• Support the relationship-manager and customer service with product training and enablement materials
• Build and monitor the derivatives operations dashboard: active clients, retention, AUM
• Apply SFC Code of Conduct provisions on complex-product suitability; support audits and regulatory filings

Job description

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact with the group broker, exchanges and clearing houses; drive commercial agreements, channel opening.

• Partner with Product & Engineering to launch and continuously improve the options trading experience on App from order entry, market data, positions and margin monitoring to advanced flows (multi-leg strategies,exercise, roll); own requirements, UAT and post-launch iteration based on user feedback and competitor benchmarks

• Operationalise the tiered client onboarding framework for derivatives: knowledge assessment, risk questionnaire, experience declaration

• Support the relationship-manager and customer service team with product training, and enablement material (for live products only)

• Build and monitor the derivatives operations dashboard: active clients, retention, AUM

• Apply SFC Code of Conduct provisions on complex-product suitability; support audits and regulatory filings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or related

• Minimum 5 years in derivatives business at a Hong Kong licensed institution; at least 3 years in product, trading or operations

• HKSI Paper 1 (Type 1 – Dealing in Securities) registered as a Licensed Representative on day one.

• Strong understanding of equity options and structured notes: product mechanics, margin, Greeks, common hedging / arbitrage strategies

• Familiarity with HKEX, CBOE and comparable exchanges' derivatives rules

• Strong grasp of how competitors run their derivatives business — product design, fee structure, client experience and activity levels at players such as Futu, Tiger Brokers, Interactive Brokers, Webull and major traditional investment banks in the options space; able to propose benchmarking-driven improvements

• Solid working knowledge of SFC rules on Complex vs Non-complex Products
