Julius Baer in Hong Kong seeks a Macro Strategist to bridge short-term rates and FX moves with long-term House Views and forecasts. You will propose tactical ideas, evaluate derivatives pricing components, and communicate insights to Front Representatives, Investment Advisors and clients.
You'll collaborate with trading desks worldwide, influence UHNW client discussions, and contribute to market updates and workshops while ensuring regulatory and risk standards are upheld.

The Marco Strategist is a key member of the Global Asset Class Specialists (GACS) team responsible for bridging the gap between dynamic market factors impacting short-term moves in Rates and FX markets and fundamental longer-term outlook as reflected in Julius Baer House Views and Forecasts, to come up with shorter term tactical forecast. The role requires an understanding of products, especially derivative product pricing components, as the objective would be highlighting actionable trade ideas on currencies and rates using both the longer-term House views and the tactical FX and Rates views, specially by augmenting it with relative value curve, skews and other market imperfections. Further, the individual shall work closely with GACS team and trading desks globally to help identify shorter term tactical plays that supplement Specialist recommendations and then to use internal/external forums to be able to effectively communicate to Front Representatives, Investment Advisors, and clients. The Macro Strategist reports to the Head of PB Sales (Asia & Middle East). N.B: For the avoidance of doubt, any reference to function/team in this document refers to Private Banking Sales (Asia & Middle East).
