Mike So, Joseph Lau & Co. in Hong Kong is seeking an Assisting Solicitor to join our litigation team. You will prepare court papers, collect evidence, analyze cases, take notes, and draft letters and legal documents.
You will communicate with clients, witnesses, and parties in litigation, may attend court or conferences with barristers, and help organize case files. We value humility, patience, and dedication to client service; no formal legal study or work experience required.
Assisting Solicitor as a player in our litigation team
Preparing court papers, collecting evidence, preliminary analysis of cases and evidence, notes taking
Drafting letters, and legal documents
Communication with clients, witnesses, various parties in litigation and the court; sometimes attending court, or conferences with barristers, or negotiation meetings
Organizing files, papers and data for the cases
Requirements:
Humble, patient, responsible, diligent, and caring for clients
Love learning and self-development; legal study and work experience are NOT a must
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Proficient in MS Word & Excel
Good command of English & Chinese
Not mandatory but desirable; (1) Proficient in Putonghua; (2) Interest in using technology and AI
