Job summary
Randstad Hong Kong Limited in Hong Kong seeks a VP, Front-Office IT to lead core Java OMS and trade execution system optimisation. You will drive low-latency architecture, FIX connectivity, and regulatory compliant trading infrastructure while leading a high-performance engineering team. The role reports to global heads and partners with APAC desks and infrastructure teams. A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in banking/markets are required.
Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on software development and leadership in banking or markets.
Proven track record with Order Management Systems (OMS) and pre-trade checks.
Strong FIX protocol knowledge and exchange connectivity.
Responsibilities
Lead architectural design, development, and optimisation of core Java services powering pre-trade validation, order routing, and execution workflows within the OMS.
Oversee full SDLC from requirements to production deployment.
Manage relationships with desks, risk, and infrastructure to address requests and customisations.
Coordinate with external vendors on upgrades, integrations, and regulatory changes.
Direct construction of high-performance trading linkages and exchange interfaces.
Diagnose and resolve Level 2/3 production issues to ensure availability during APAC hours.
Enforce engineering standards, change control, and regulatory policies.
