Job summary

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited seeks a Deputy Process Plant Manager/ Manager Trainee (Landfill Gas) to oversee landfill gas operations in Hong Kong. The role involves managing gas collection, flaring, biogas engines, and gas treatment units, with focus on safety and performance targets.

The position requires strong leadership, 7+ years in operations, and hands-on experience with SCADA/PLC systems in industrial plants. Local travel and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of supervisory experience in managing modern processing plant operations or environmental engineering.
• Experience with SCADA, PLC-controlled facilities and heavy-duty equipment.
• General Electrical & Mechanical engineering knowledge for industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of safety at work and chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance of landfill gas systems including gas collection, flare, engines and gas treatment units.
• Lead testing, commissioning and respond to abnormal operations and emergencies.
• Monitor data for daily reporting and present improvement opportunities.
• Supervise team performance, staff development and safety compliance.

Education

Degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Gas Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
