10DESIGN, part of Egis’ Architecture Line, is seeking an Interior Design Intern focused on Sustainability & Material Reuse for a retail mall renovation project in Mainland China. The role supports a sustainability-driven design process and material specification with the design team.
We welcome current students or recent graduates in Interior Design or related fields who are fluent in English and Mandarin, and who are passionate about sustainability, embodied carbon and circular design.

We are looking for anarchitect or Interior Design Intern to support a retail mall renovation project in Mainland China, preferably, with an interest in material specification, material reuse, circular design and embodied carbon.
The intern will work closely with 10Nsustainability architect and wider design team to explore creative and practical opportunities to reuse existing materials and introduce sustainable material solutions during basement renovation.
Key Responsibilities
Support material reuse analysis and feasibility studies during the schematic and detailed design stages.
Work closely with the team to develop material reuse strategies and proposals.
Research and develop creative ideas for material reuse, circular design and sustainable materials.
Support the preparation of reports and documentation to accompany material reuse proposals.
Help prepare drawings, diagrams, material studies and visualizations to communicate proposals to the client.
Assist with coordination and communication with consultants, contractors and material suppliers.
Support the team in incorporating client feedback and compiling the final information into a comprehensive design report.
Translate presentations, reports and key project information between English and Mandarin Chinese.
Current student or recent graduate in Interior Design, Architecture, Sustainable Design or a related field.
Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to translate technical design and sustainability information between both languages.
Strong interestand good knowledgein sustainability, whole life carbon, circular design, material reuse and embodied carbon.
Creative and innovative approach to finding new uses for existing materials and identifying sustainable material solutions.
Good understanding of interior design and the ability to communicate design ideas visually.
Good communication and coordination skills, with an ability to work collaborativelyand proactively with different project stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant design and presentation software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino or similar.
