St. James’ Settlement in Hong Kong is hiring an HR Officer (Contract) to support a full spectrum of HR functions including onboarding, compensation & benefits, tax filing, and retirement fund administration.
The role requires a degree in HRM or related discipline, at least 1 year of HR experience, and strong Chinese and English communication skills. The successful candidate will handle HRIS, policy formulation, HR audits, and routine inquiries while maintaining accurate employee records.
Degree holder or above in Human Resources Management or related disciplines
HKCEE five passes [incl. English (Syl. B) & Chinese at grade E or above] or HKDSE five subjects [including Chinese and English Language at Level 2 or above] or equivalent
Minimum 1 year solid experience in Human Resources functions in sizable company
Well-versed in Labour Ordinance and other HR related ordinance
Detail-minded, well-organised, strong sense of responsibility, initiative and able to work under a fast-paced environment
Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
Experience of using Flex system
Support full spectrum of HR functions including but not limited to C&B focus on on-boarding arrangement, tax filing, retirement fund administration and leave administration
Handle EC cases, administer HRIS applications, respond to routine HR inquiries and participate in HR audit
Handle routine maintenance on employee database and ensure all personal records are up-to-date and accurate
Assist in the formulation and implementation of HR policies, procedures and tools in accordance with Company’s rules & regulations
Compile regular HR related statistics and reports for Management’s review
Perform other ad hoc assignments or projects when assigned

It was then developed into a six-storey building on Kennedy Road in 1963 to provide diversified services, including children and youth services, elderly services and rehabilitation services. In 1987, the headquarters was opened in Stone Nullah Lane so that the scope of services could be further extended.
