Job summary

Bird & Bird in Hong Kong invites graduates from a wide range of disciplines to apply for trainee solicitor positions beginning September 2029. The program includes eight selected candidates for a four-week summer internship, with up to three interns offered a two-year training contract starting September 2029.

Successful applicants will be outgoing, articulate and strong team players, prepared to develop their careers in law within a collaborative, international firm.

Our Internship, Training Contract and Application Process

The Hong Kong office will recruit up to three trainee solicitors to start in September 2029. We welcome applications from graduates across a wide range of disciplines. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews with our Graduate Recruitment Team. Eight candidates will be selected to a four-week summer internship programme, commencing in either June or July 2027. Subject to work performance and vacancy, up to three summer interns will be offered a 2-year training contract commencing in September 2029.

This summer internship is an opportunity for you to experience a real work environment and gain insight into the life of a modern forward thinking commercial law firm - from the people, the environment and the different aspects of our work. During the summer internship, you will have the opportunity to rotate across different practice areas: corporate, commercial, intellectual property, dispute resolution or employment. You will not only be actively involved in the work carried out within the department but also attend in-house seminars and meet colleagues at every level of the firm.
