Job summary

AcWise Recruitment Limited in Hong Kong/Macau invites applications for the Head of Group Credit & Risks (Macau). You will lead the Credit & Risks Department and oversee the Risk Management Committee with bi-monthly meetings.

You will ensure all credit risk policies comply with group and regulatory requirements, conduct risk assessments across Hong Kong and Macau, monitor loan portfolio quality, and drive a robust risk framework and internal controls.

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of corporate and institutional credit experience.
• Professional designation (CPA/ACCA/CA) would be an advantage.
• Strong credit and financial analysis and adjudication skills.
• Familiar with Hong Kong and Macau lending markets.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

About the job Head of Group Credit & Risks (Macau)

Responsibilities

• Lead Credit & Risks Department
• Assist convener to lead and prepare for Risk Management Committee which has bi-monthly meeting
• Ensure all credit risk related policy, guidelines and procedures strictly comply with the Group and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with business lines both Hong Kong and Macau to conduct credit risk assessment and to identify potential risk and advise on mitigation measures
• Monitor the quality of the loan portfolio of the Group
• Review and analyze new credit proposals s and renewal proposals with justifications and recommendations
• Design and update credit risk framework, reporting system and related policies and procedure to drive sound control culture
• Keep abreast of the latest regulations and regulatory requirements on risk management to ensure the internal controls are effective and the operation are in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures and control manuals
• Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirments

• University Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or other relevant disciplines;
• Minimum 15 years of relevant corporate and institutional credit experience in the commercial/ investment banking environment within an overall credit portfolio context;
• Professional designation (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) would be an advantage;
• Proven credit analysis, financial analysis and adjudication skills;
• Strong understanding of financial statements and credit scoring methodologies;
• Thorough understanding of lending risk management guidelines with strong compliance culture;
• Familiar with both Hong Kong and Macau lending markets
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese;
