Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong is seeking a Graduate Transport Planner to join our Transport Consulting team. You will support international transport planning and sustainable mobility projects across Asia, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will conduct transport research, data analysis, GIS and modelling, prepare technical reports and engage with clients. We value creativity, critical thinking and a passion for sustainable development, with opportunities for mentoring and career growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Transport Planning/Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science/Engineering or Geography.
• Graduated recently or on track to complete the most recent relevant degree before employment start date.
• Full working rights in the country of application.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of international transport planning and sustainable mobility projects with multidisciplinary teams across Asia and other regions.
• Undertake transport research, data analysis, GIS and modelling to support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
• Contribute to public transport, intelligent mobility, active mobility and low-carbon/e-mobility studies and solutions.
• Prepare clear, high-quality technical reports, presentations and analytical outputs, and support engagement with clients and stakeholders.
• Explore and apply digital, AI and automation tools to enhance transport analysis, workflows and project delivery.

Our Transport Consulting team is looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to join us in Hong Kong.

To Be Considered For a Graduate Opportunity, Your Application Must Include a Copy Of Your CV/resume, Latest Transcript, And Meet The Following Criteria

• Minimum Master's level degree in Transport Planning/Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science/Engineering or Geography.
• Graduated recently, or be on track to complete your most recent relevant degree before your employment start date.

An interest in or experience related to:

• International study, exchange, research or project experience
• Strong interest in international development and sustainable transport.
• Awareness of the broader role of transport in economic development, accessibility, social inclusion, climate resilience and decarbonisation, etc
• Interest in working with multilateral development banks, governments and public-sector clients.
• Strong interest in AI and automation, with curiosity to explore how emerging technologies can improve transport analysis and consulting workflows.
• Ability to structure data and turn analysis into clear insights and recommendations;
• Fluent in English.
• No more than 2 years of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Full working rights in the country of application
