Eclipse Trading in Hong Kong is seeking a Graduate Python Software Developer for the 2027 intake. You will join the RAD team to build Python-based solutions for algorithmic pricing and trading, under mentorship, and contribute to live production systems.

The role emphasizes strong Python skills, collaboration with traders and quants, and a pathway from training to active production work within a leading derivatives trading firm.

Qualifications

• Final year student or recent graduate with CS/Software Engineering degree or related with strong programming focus
• Strong Python development experience from academic projects, open source, or work experience
• Interest in financial markets or proprietary trading environment
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Team player with ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve our shared Python development framework
• Collaborate with traders, quants and other dev teams to deliver new trading software and improve existing systems
• Drive projects from inception to analysis, design, implementation and delivery
• Provide Tier 2 support as needed

The opportunity

The successful candidate will take part in a comprehensive 8-week training program and will learn under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Your work will be used in actual production, having a direct impact on our trading and market activities.

Central to our business is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) Team who work closely with traders and quantitative analysts in the development and optimization of Python-based solutions to algorithmic pricing and trading problems. The team empowers users by providing them with easy access to live data in a framework where they can build their own automation logic.

• Drive key projects frominceptionto analysis, design,implementationand delivery
• Provide Tier2support as needed
