Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong is recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for the 2027 intake to support the Multi-trade Integrated Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing team on mission-critical projects. You will design mechanical systems, generate calculations and drawings, and coordinate BIM with multidisciplinary teams, gaining hands-on site exposure and professional growth.

The role requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, language fluency in Mandarin and English, and up to two years of prior experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in Mechanical Engineering, Digital Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics or a closely related discipline.
• Graduated recently, or be on track to complete your most recent relevant degree before your employment start date.
• Interest in or experience related to Cooling systems, Energy-efficiency design, Automation, AutoCAD, Revit, AI applications, Power BI or Python.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• No more than 2 years of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Full working rights in the country of application (Hong Kong).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities, railway, infrastructure and advanced technology projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Support BIM modelling and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in site inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Develop technical and professional skills through training and project experience.
