Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong is seeking a Graduate Fire Safety Engineer to join our Fire Engineering team. You will contribute to planning, design, and assessment of fire safety for buildings and industrial facilities, and support the integration of fire protection into project designs.

You will develop fire safety strategies, emergency plans, and perform analyses using FDS and evacuation modelling while producing clear technical reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, or Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
• Recent graduate or on track to complete degree before employment start date.
• Interest in or experience related to scripting (Programming).
• Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese an advantage.
• No more than 2 years of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Full working rights in the country of application.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning, design, and assessment of fire safety for buildings and facilities.
• Develop fire safety strategies, emergency planning, risk assessments and reviews.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate fire protection into designs.
• Perform fire engineering analyses using FDS and evacuation modelling; prepare reports.
• Support project delivery through design development, submissions, site inspections and QA.
