Job summary

The Securities Finance Association (SFA) in Hong Kong is seeking a graduate analyst to join our team onsite. You will support working groups, member firms, and advocacy, reporting to the Head of Market Structure and Development. The role suits a proactive, analytical candidate with strong MS Office and possibly Python skills.

We value clear communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Travel to regional events may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a financial markets or research function, preferably in a similar industry setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and able to multi-task, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Python.
  • Full right of Employment in Hong Kong without visa sponsorship requirements.
  • Regional language proficiency is a plus e.g. Mandarin, Korean, Japanese.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for working group meetings.
  • Draft meeting agendas, take minutes, and track action items.
  • Coordinate with members on working group deliverables and timelines.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and presentation for working groups.
  • Manage document filing, version control, and record keeping for the working groups.
  • Support the production of research papers, white papers, and member briefings.
  • Respond to member enquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Support the organisation of member events, publications, and webinars.
  • Provide general support to the CEO and senior team.
  • The role may involve regional travel from time to time.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented graduate analyst to join our team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years of relevant experience from within a financial markets setting. This full-time, onsite role, requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for driving results. Ideal candidates will be analytical, numerate and have a comprehensive understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
