Job summary

PERSOL Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Director of Sourcing & Product Development to lead denim and woven product development, vendor allocation, and global manufacturing expansion. You will drive end-to-end merchandising operations across emerging hubs, balancing cost, lead times, and quality for major retail accounts.

Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin, 8–12+ years of experience, and strong negotiation and project management skills are essential to shape our denim and casual bottoms

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12+ years of technical merchandising and sourcing experience within apparel manufacturing, multinational buying offices, or global trading houses.
• Deep Denim goods knowledge including fabrics, washes, and garment construction.
• Hands-on experience developing and managing overseas production networks, with exposure to Africa/EMEA hubs.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex cost breakdowns and factory allocations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing, costing, and production strategies for global retail and brand accounts within denim and woven categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic manufacturing partners in emerging low-tariff regions (Africa/EMEA) to optimize capacity, lead times, and costs.
• Collaborate with design, technical, and QA teams to ensure seamless commercialization from proto sample to bulk delivery.
• Drive vendor negotiations on FOB pricing, MOQs, fabric development, and production allocations.
• Monitor vendor compliance, factory capability, and on-time delivery across multi-country facilities.
