Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Product Specialist / Trader to join our FX team in Hong Kong. You will support senior FX members on advisory and dealing for Investment Counsellor teams and dedicated clients, providing timely market updates and trade ideas.

You should have strong FX knowledge across currencies, familiarity with derivatives and option strategies, solid risk management, and excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Fluent English and Cantonese/Mandarin are required, along with a bachelor degree.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the FX market across multiple currencies.
• Familiar with option strategies, derivatives and structured products.
• Familiar with dynamic Greek-based margining system and methodology.
• Strong risk management skills for managing client’s FX positions.
• Solid dealing capabilities, with attention to details and good knowledge in dealing systems.
• Able to work under pressure and execute client orders accurately and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support senior FX team members on the coverage of Investment Counsellor teams as well as Dedicated Advisory & Dealing clients from trade advisory to dealing services
• Provide timely FX market updates and trade recommendations vis-à-vis market development
• Support FX dealing services for Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors
• Support on FX system improvements
• Support post-trade lifecycle management – proactively monitoring early redemption and scheduled maturities and proposing profit taking and rollover opportunities
