Full-Time Educational Assistant (Visual Arts Focus)

Peak School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Educational Assistant with a specialist focus on Visual Arts. The successful candidate will support primary students' learning, teaching, and holistic development by integrating creative and artistic experiences into daily educational and social growth.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Teaching Support

Support the delivery of Visual Arts lessons across primary year groups under the direction of the teaching staff.

Support students to access the curriculum through tailored visual arts activities.

Social & Emotional Development

Guide students with emotional or behavioral challenges using positive reinforcement and established behavior modification programs.

Help students develop positive behaviors, collaborative skills, and communication through group visual arts projects and peer interactions.

Accompany and assist students during out-of-classroom activities, including school camps, educational excursions, and whole-school events.

Maintain, organize, and manage Visual Arts resources, equipment, tools, and consumable materials safely.

Assist in displaying student artwork around the school to celebrate student achievements and foster an inspiring learning environment.

Skills and Abilities

Proven ability to engage, inspire, and guide primary school-aged children in artistic practices.

Competence in assisting teachers during visual arts lessons, including demonstrating basic techniques (e.g., painting, sculpting, sketching).

Strong capability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe visual arts workshop environment

Knowledge

Familiarity in developmental stages in children's art and age-appropriate creative techniques.

Knowledge in student safety protocols and positive behavior strategies.

Requirements

A strong command of both written and spoken English is mandatory.

Competence in general IT systems and familiarity with digital learning platforms used in primary education.

Applicants must be permanent residents of Hong Kong or hold a valid visa permitting full-time employment in Hong Kong.
