Job summary

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited is hiring an experienced IT System Engineer to maintain server operating systems, middleware, and storage, and to design high-availability and disaster recovery architectures. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and develop automation scripts in Python and Shell.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills in English and Chinese, and the ability to work under pressure in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; industry-recognized technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in maintaining at least one of the listed components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage various server operating systems, middleware, SAN storage, virtualization platforms, and data backup solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures for system environments.
• Monitor system environments and manage performance and capacity.
• Troubleshoot system incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Implement and maintain baseline configurations and security settings.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Shell).
• Define backup strategies and verify backup integrity and success.
• Develop relevant policies, standards, procedures, and manuals.
• Participate in the bank's daily project planning and implementation.
• Track emerging technologies and provide optimization recommendations.
• Perform other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; industry-recognized technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in maintaining at least one of the following: Server Operating Systems: Windows Server, SUSE Linux, Red Hat Linux, Kylin Server OS (or other domestic OS)；Middleware: WebSphere, Liberty, Tomcat, Nginx, BES Application Server (Baolande)；Virtualization: VMware, FusionCompute SAN Storage；Backup Software: NetBackup
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to adhere to bank policies and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English; Cantonese speaking ability is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
