Job summary

Adecco is recruiting an Equity Derivatives Developer, AVP, to support a front‑office trading environment in Hong Kong. The role centers on high‑performance C++ development for real‑time trading systems, collaborating with traders and quantitative researchers to implement and refine trading ideas and strategies.

You will ensure system reliability, scalability and fault tolerance under extreme market conditions, provide front desk support and troubleshooting, and participate in design discussions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance or related field from a recognized university.
• At least 5 years in a technical development environment.
• At least 3 years in C++ development, including C++17 and C++20.
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms and systems programming.
• Experience with Python or scripting languages, databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with financial markets, market data feeds or exchange protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and clean, efficient code.
• Strong English communication and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and optimize high-performance C++ applications for real-time trading systems.
• Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to implement trading algorithms.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance under extreme market conditions.
• Provide front desk support and troubleshoot system issues.
• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and trading idea brainstorming sessions.
• Contribute to tooling and automation using Python or other scripting languages when needed.
