English Schools Foundation (ESF) in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Executive - Payroll to drive end-to-end payroll processing across our schools and departments. You will handle base salaries, allowances, overtime, leaves, and prorations, ensuring accuracy before management sign-off.

The role requires hands-on experience with PeopleSoft, deep knowledge of HK Employment Ordinance and MPF/ORSO, and strong numerical skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of solid payroll processing experience; candidates with less experience may be considered for Payroll Executive.
• Hands-on experience using PeopleSoft is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and MPF/ORSO.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience handling sizeable payroll in Hong Kong (education sector or complex multi-entity environments is an advantage).
• Strong numerical sense and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Cantonese.

Responsabilidades

• Uphold compliance with HK payroll legislation and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Address and resolve payroll inquiries.
• Perform additional duties and accountabilities as agreed with line manager.

The Senior Executive - Payroll plays a key hands-on role in executing the end-to-end payroll process across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and calculate payroll for the assigned schools and departments, including but not limited to base salaries, allowances, overtime, claims, leave, and prorated calculations for new joiners/ leavers
• Conduct preliminary reviews and detailed reconciliation of the payroll calculation, MPF contributions and the gratuity calculations prior to (assistant) manager sign-off to ensure complete accuracy
• Assist in preparing the filing of statutory Hong Kong payroll requirements, including MPF/ORSO contributions and IRD tax reporting
• Uphold strict compliance with Hong Kong employment and payroll legislation, staying informed about regulatory changes that may impact payroll practices
• Address and resolve payroll inquiries
• Perform additional duties and take on accountabilities as required, including objectives mutually agreed upon with the line manager

Qualification

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of solid, hands-on payroll processing experience. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Payroll Executive title
• Hands-on experience using PeopleSoft is highly preferred
• Solid practical knowledge of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and MPF/ORSO ordinances
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience handling sizeable payroll in Hong Kong (education sector or complex multi-entity environments is an advantage)
• Exceptional numerical sense, detail-oriented
• Good team player
• Strong time management mindset
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Cantonese
