Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC in Hong Kong is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join the Healthcare Equity Research team. You will leverage advanced tools, models, and data to provide clients with original, high-impact research and investment ideas.

You will analyze industry trends, company fundamentals, and market dynamics, deliver actionable insights, and support cross-sector projects. Mandarin language skills and CFA progress are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of analytical experience, ideally in equity research, healthcare, or related fields.
• PhD or MD degree or equivalent, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, medicine-related field.
• Ability to independently arrange and conduct fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an entrepreneurial drive.
• Ability to build robust financial models (base and sensitivity) with minimal guidance.
• Deep understanding of healthcare sector fundamentals, drivers, and risks.
• Ability to synthesize diverse information and articulate a clear investment thesis.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain complex healthcare topics to a general audience.
• Programming experience with AI agents and/or large-scale data sets is appreciated.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Strong skills in verbal and written communication with the ability to explain complex healthcare subjects to general audience
• Ability to leverage AI and machine learning tools into equity research work; Programing experience with AI agents and/or large scale data sets is appreciated

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Strong preference for candidates with healthcare backgrounds who canprocess large data healthcare data sets,think outside the box, and conduct non-consensus/thematic research.
• Demonstrates creativity in problem-solving and seeks innovative approaches.
• Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs.
• Comfortable interacting with business clients and company management.
• Progress toward a CFA, or a CFA designation, is a plus.
• Mandarin language skills are highly preferred due to the focus on China-based companies.
