Job summary

Barclays in Hong Kong invites an AVP to join the Equity Derivatives Solutions Team. You will focus on regional clients, develop and manage relationships with institutional clients, and work with internal sales, research, trading and product teams to deliver market insights and investment ideas.

You will generate meaningful client engagement, support revenue growth, and represent the firm across key markets.

Job description

Purpose of the role

To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets.

Accountabilities

Development and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives. Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements. Liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests. Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations. Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates. Negotiation of terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions.

Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively. Required Skills
  • Minimum of approximately 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of structured products, structuring, quantitative solutions and related technology, with the ability to explain these capabilities clearly to institutional clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver differentiated market insights and investment ideas.
  • Commercially driven, self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
Desired Skills
  • Experience covering Asia or other regional markets would be an advantage.
  • Existing institutional client network and strong understanding of client coverage strategy are preferred.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
