Job summary

Chun Wo Elegant Decoration Engineering Company Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an Environmental Engineer to monitor and enhance the project's environmental performance, conduct inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science, plus professional environmental qualifications (BEAM Pro, LEED AP, WELL AP) and at least four years of construction environmental management

Qualifications

Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent.
Professional qualifications in environmental disciplines (HKIQEP, BEAM Pro, LEED AP, WELL AP).
At least 4 years' experience in environmental management, monitoring and audits for construction projects.
Full understanding of regulatory and legislative framework.

Responsibilities

Monitor and improve environmental performance of the Project.
Conduct routine site inspections and audits (internal and external).
Provide training, promotion and handling of complaints.
Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
Coordinate with site staff, subcontractors and client’s representative for day‑to‑day activities.
Prepare meetings, materials and presentations for BEAM Plus, LEED, WELL certifications.
Carry out ad hoc duties as required.

Environmental Engineer

Construction and Engineering | Hong Kong

Responsibilities:

Monitor and improve environmental performance of the Project;
Responsible for routine site inspections and internal and external audits;
Conduct training, promotion and complaint handling;
Provide technical supports to ensure the Project complied with legal and contractual requirements;
Coordinate with site staff, subcontractors and client's representative for day-to-day activities;
Monitoring and improve the site environmental performance.
Prepare meetings, materials and presentations for green building certifications, e.g. BEAM Plus, LEED, WELL, etc.
Carry out any ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent;
Knowledge of ISO 14000 Environmental Management System is an advantage
At least 4 years' relevant experience in environmental management, monitoring and audit for construction projects is essential;
Full understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework;
Complete Environmental Officer course (CIC/ IVE) .
Professional qualification in environmental related disciplines like HKIQEP, BEAM Pro, LEED AP and/or WELL AP is a must;
Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and be able to work independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
Immediate available is preferred.
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Environmental Engineer.
