Job summary

Selby Jennings is partnering with a reputable asset manager to hire a Junior Risk Analyst in Hong Kong. You will monitor investment risk, support compliance, and contribute to risk reporting across public and private markets.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–3 years of experience in investment risk or financial risk analysis. Knowledge of Bloomberg AIM and Python is a plus, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
• 1–3 years of experience in investment risk, investment compliance, or financial risk analysis.
• Familiarity with fixed income, equities, derivatives, and portfolio risk attribution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily investment risk limits and ensure portfolios comply with regulatory, fund mandate and internal policy requirements.
• Conduct pre-trade checks, trade approvals, Bloomberg rule coding, and post-trade reviews.
• Support risk assessments for investment portfolios and new business initiatives.
• Prepare risk reports and contribute to the firm’s risk management framework.
• Participate in portfolio risk investigations and ad-hoc risk management projects.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, compliance, operations, and senior stakeholders.
