Job summary

The British Council Hong Kong Teaching Centre is hiring experienced, enthusiastic teaching assistants to work with Very Young Learners. You will assist teachers with material preparation, supervise children, reinforce class rules, model appropriate behavior and help manage customer flow.

Requirements include clear Cantonese communication, ability to follow simple English instructions, and a willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays. HKDSE/GCSE preferred.

Qualifications

• Clear Cantonese communication and good English understanding.
• Ability to follow simple English instructions.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.
• Enjoy working with children and maintain classroom order.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with material preparation and setup.
• Supervise children and reinforce class rules.
• Model appropriate behavior and encourage participation.
• Direct customer questions to the right staff.
• Ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed.
