Job summary

EYT3 Limited, a Hong Kong-based cybersecurity and RegTech company, seeks a DevOps/Backend engineer to design and implement integration solutions across internal systems and APIs. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC deployments, and Kubernetes infrastructure, while collaborating with multiple teams to ensure smooth deployments.

On-site customer deployments and travel may be required, with fluency in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years backend application/infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Kubernetes and OpenShift experience required; OpenStack advantageous.
• IaC experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Willingness to travel locally for on-site deployments.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
• Strong problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement integration solutions across internal systems, third-party services, and APIs.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle to ensure different systems and components work together seamlessly.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system integration issues, coordinating across teams as needed.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, including source control (Git), build automation, deployment tools, and test automation.
• Own and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments to ensure consistent, repeatable environments.
• Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact production.
• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Implement automation and monitoring solutions within the Kubernetes environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across clusters, nodes, and workloads.
• Conduct on-site implementation at customer locations, including deploying products and designing deployment strategies tailored to each customer's environment.
• Assess customer infrastructure and requirements to plan and execute deployment approaches.
• Provide hands-on technical support during go-live and post-deployment stabilization.
• Travel to customer sites as required for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Document systems, procedures, and deployment processes for internal teams and customers.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on DevOps practices, system integration, and Kubernetes management.
• Work closely with software engineers, system engineers, platform engineers, QA engineers, and product owners to ensure smooth, coordinated product deployments.

Responsibilities:

Systems Integration

• Experience in OpenStack is advantageous.
• Experience in OpenShift, Kubernetes is required.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Willingness to travel locally for on-site customer implementation and deployment work.
• Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for a junior position.
