Job summary

Well Link Securities Limited is seeking a Dealing Officer for the Night Desk to execute trades and monitor risk in real-time. The role requires handling order inputs, ensuring accurate settlement, and coordinating with clients and counterparties on execution issues during US market hours.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of dealing desk experience with familiarity in major trading systems (Bloomberg) and strong Cantonese/Putonghua language skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute trades accurately and promptly.
• Monitor risk, margin levels, and perform margin calls as needed.
• Liaise with clients and counterparties on orders and execution issues.
• Reconcile night trades, positions and balances with back-office teams.
• Oversee and coordinate with IT/vendors for overnight system stability.
• Participate in system UAT and MR testing as required.

Job description

Dealing Officer (Night Desk – Securities & Futures)

- Order Execution: Execute trade orders accurately and efficiently

- Risk & Margin Management: Monitor clients' trading activities, margin levels, and risk exposure in real-time; execute margin calls or force‑liquidation procedures when required

- Client & Counterparty Liaison: Handle client inquiries, order inputs and execution issues

- Operational Reconciliation: Reconcile night trades, open positions, and account balances with clearers and middle‑office teams to ensure accurate market settlement

- System Monitoring: Oversee the performance of front‑end trading systems and order routing; coordinate with vendors and IT support to resolve overnight technical glitches immediately

- Others: Participate in regular systems UAT and MR testing and other ad hoc assignments

Requirements

- Regulatory Compliance: Qualified for SFC Type1&2 Rep License registration is a must

- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience on a dealing desk (US securities market experience is highly preferred)

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in major trading systems (e.g., Bloomberg)

- Language Proficiency: Good command of Cantonese and Putonghua

- Work Schedule: Permanent night shifts with occasional overnight rotations aligned with US market hours (including working on Hong Kong public holidays if US markets are open).
