Job summary

Pinpoint Asia’s client, a leading Financial Institution in Hong Kong, is embarking on a multi-year digitalization journey. They seek a Data Engineer (Platform) to build solutions for a next-generation Data & Analytics Platform and to enable AI-enabled data pipelines.

You will design and implement scalable data lake infrastructure, IaC and CI/CD, collaborate with Architects and AI Engineers, and deliver robust data virtualization, APIs integration, and end-to-end data workflows in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data platform development, with large-scale infrastructure (100+ TB).
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or Node.js, plus Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on with Data Lake frameworks (Hudi, Iceberg, Delta Lake) and data processing tools (Airflow, Spark).
• Deep knowledge of modern infra and deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible).
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, AliCloud and data security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills in a global financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance robust data platform solutions, focusing on data virtualization, visualization, and advanced data lakes.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop services and integrate them with internal and external APIs / MCPs.
• Collaborate with Architects, AI Engineers, and Product Owners to deploy AI applications and robust data pipelines in a continuous delivery environment.
