Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer in Hong Kong to strengthen security posture and support digital transformation for a well-established community services organization.

The role involves threat research, vulnerability assessment, security testing, reporting and stakeholder communications. Strong English and a CS/InfoSec degree are preferred; involvement in awareness programs and training is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity projects.
• Basic understanding of web application and system security.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and scanning would be an advantage.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• English proficiency in written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and awareness of attacks, vulnerabilities and regulations.
• Assist in website vulnerability evaluation using automated security scanning tools or external vendor services.
• Support cybersecurity assessment projects including security review, analysis, reporting and follow-up tasks.
• Provide project and vendor coordination, plus operational support for cybersecurity initiatives.
• Assist in planning and executing cybersecurity competitions, exercises and related events.
• Provide technical and operational support during cybersecurity activities with internal teams and partners.
• Prepare service reports, event summaries and presentation materials for customers and internal parties.
• Develop cybersecurity awareness and training materials and assist in seminars and events.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness to customers and stakeholders through outreach programs.

Our client is a well-established community services organization dedicated to delivering impactful services and supporting the wellbeing of local communities. They are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen their security posture, protect critical systems, and support ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

Description

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and maintain awareness of the latest attacks, vulnerabilities, mitigation measures, industry best practices and relevant regulations;
• Assist in website vulnerability evaluation utilizing automated security scanning tools or external vendor scanning services;
• Support the execution of cybersecurity assessment projects, including security review, analysis, reporting and follow-up tasks;
• Provide project and vendor co-ordination, as well as operational support for assigned cybersecurity initiatives
• Assist in the planning, preparation and execution of cybersecurity competitions, exercises, seminars and related events;
• Provide technical and operational support during cybersecurity competitions and community activities, including coordination with internal teams, service providers and participants;
• Prepare service reports, event summaries and presentation materials for customers and internal parties;
• Support the development of cybersecurity awareness and training materials, and assist in seminars, events and related activities;
• Promote cybersecurity awareness to customers and other stakeholders through outreach and programme activities;
• Monitor project progress and ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner

Profile

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Engineering or related discipline;
• At least 3 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity assessment, technical project delivery or related security projects;
• Basic understanding of web application security and system security;
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment, penetration test, scanning, analysis, review and reporting would be an advantage;
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Customer-oriented, proactive, willing to learn and positive with a can-do attitude;
• Relevant cybersecurity training or certification would be an advantage;
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
