Job summary

Galaxy is seeking a Production Support Engineer to join our crypto trading, risk, and settlement platforms. You will diagnose complex issues, automate tasks, and work with global teams to keep systems running smoothly.

Strong SQL, Java or Python, and incident response skills are required, with a focus on reliability, client service, and continual improvement. This role offers a path to advanced operational excellence within a fast-paced crypto environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years in production support or engineering, preferably in finance.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Java or Python).
• Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line production support across cryptocurrency business lines, including trading, lending, and settlement.
• Work on automation projects to minimize manual effort and enhance efficiency.
• Monitor system health and resolve issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex applications written in Java and Python.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and system improvements.
• Coordinate with global counterparts for follow-the-sun support.
• Document and maintain support procedures, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Communicate updates to clients and ensure satisfaction.
• Identify areas for improvement in systems and processes.
