Job summary

Fleet Management Services Philippines, Inc in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced crewing operations professional to oversee overall crewing activities for Container and Tanker departments. You will liaise with Head Office and Manning Offices, coordinate vessel crew requirements, and manage candidate interviews and data integrity.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a background in maritime crewing, with the ability to handle urgent crew-change situations and maintain

Qualifications

• Preferably graduate of Maritime Studies with experience in handling crewing department.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Head Office and other FML Manning Offices re Crewing matters.
• Communicates with vessels (All Containers and Tankers).
• Receives advice re vessel requirement for Engine Department (All Containers and Tankers).
• Maintains active file/crew vacation list.
• Contacts candidates by phone and/or by other means.
• Conducts general interview with ex-crews and/or new applicants; schedules for further interview and informs Hongkong Office if needed.
• Prepares and replies to messages.
• Proposes candidates (Officers and crew) to HK Office and other FML Manning Offices.
• Verifies the authenticity of data in the application form (Document verification).
• Receives calls from ships' personnel re crew change inquiries and emergencies.

Job Position Summary

Generally responsible for the over-all operations of the Container and Tanker Crewing Department

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Communicates with Head Office and other FML Manning Offices re Crewing matters
• Communicates with vessels (All Containers and Tankers).
• Receives advice re vessel requirement for Engine Department (All Containers and Tankers).
• Maintains active file/crew vacation list.
• Contacts candidates by phone and/or by other means.
• Conducts general interview with ex-crews and/or new applicants. Schedules them for further interview, and if necessary, call and inform Hongkong Office for their (new applicants) further interview.
• Prepares and replies to messages.
• Proposes candidates (Officers and crew) to HK Office and other FML Manning Offices.
• Verifies the authenticity of data in the application form (Document verification)
• Receives calls from ships' personnel re crew change inquiries, updates and gives advices in handling some emergency situations.

• Fleet Personnel Department (Manila & Cebu offices)

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

• Preferably graduate of Maritime Studies with experience in handling crewing department.
