Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Counterparty Risk Associate in the Asia Pacific Coverage team. You will evaluate and monitor exposures across derivatives, listed products, prime brokerage, and financing activities.

You’ll analyze onboarding, margins, and collateral while partnering with Sales, Trading, and Credit to shape risk views and limit settings. You will also contribute to investigations and escalation of emerging risks during market events, and help strengthen day-to-day risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or finance-related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in counterparty risk, market risk, credit risk or data/analytics roles.
• Working knowledge of counterparty credit risk products and concepts (derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Securities Financing).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; comfortable with large datasets and analytical workflows; experience with data/visualization tooling.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical topics to non-specialists and present risk conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk coverage for Prime Brokerage, Clearing, OTC Bilateral and Securities Financing businesses.
• Assess onboarding and margin/credit risk; monitor counterparty exposures and identify risk concentrations.
• Partner with Business and Credit teams to evaluate limit sizing for new and existing clients; provide credible challenge.
• Deliver ad-hoc risk analyses in response to market events and management requests.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools and automation using Python, AI/LLM-enabled techniques where relevant.
