Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a diligent onboarding specialist to support corporate account openings, perform CDD/EDD checks, and manage documentation within the customer information system.

Responsibilities include liaising with branches and AML teams, conducting blacklist checks, and assisting in UAT for system enhancements. Proficiency in English and Chinese and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with qualification of ECF-AML/CFT preferred.
• Experience in corporate account opening, KYC and related banking role preferred.
• Good command of English and Chinese (Putonghua) in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Assist branches in conducting customer due diligence for new onboarding customers and perform blacklist checking on direct customers and connected parties; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Review duly accomplished account opening forms and related supporting documents.
• Conduct new account opening checks for document completeness, proper CDD/EDD and AML checks.
• Seek necessary approval for high-risk accounts prior to opening.
• Ensure all documents are properly filled, managed, and stored in the customer information system.
• Perform blacklist checking for new and existing customers.
• Liaise with branches, AML Team and internal departments to support onboarding.
• Assist in system enhancement UAT, ad-hoc tasks and projects.
