Job summary

Ernst & Young in Hong Kong is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to join the External Audit team. You will assist in planning, executing and delivering audits, while communicating with management and audit committees. The role emphasizes professional development and a supportive, inclusive EY culture.

You will gain diverse client exposure, work with senior colleagues, and contribute to building a better working world through high-quality audits and ongoing coaching and feedback.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree and CPA certification required.
• Approximately 3–5 years of external audit experience.
• Staff accountant level available for less experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution and delivery of assurance engagements.
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
• Build strong internal relationships within Ernst & Young Assurance and across other services.
• Coach, supervise and conduct performance review and contribute to performance feedback for staff.
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals.
• Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of all staff.
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.

To qualify for the role you must have

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or other appropriate academic major, as well as CPA certification


• Approximately 3-5 years of experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs


• Candidate with less experience will be considered as staff accountant
