Animoca Brands Corporation Limited is seeking a Senior Associate to handle day-to-day financial operations and reporting for a diverse portfolio of entities, including month‑end and quarter‑end close. The role offers exposure to Web3 accounting, digital assets, and on‑chain reconciliation.

You will coordinate with external auditors, manage up to 20 entities in various jurisdictions, and drive process improvements while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant accounting experience, mix of Big 4 audit and commercial accounting preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/QP) is a plus.
• Proficiency with modern ERP systems and MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits and prepare accounting memos.
• Manage full-set bookkeeping for up to 20 entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Handle daily accounting operations including subsidiary funding and cost recharges.
• Ensure invoices are correctly prepared and updated in the accounting system.
• Verify invoices and agreements with proper supporting documents and approvals.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Record cryptocurrency-related accounts payable and reconcile with on-chain transactions.
• Take on ad hoc tasks and help develop accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify process improvements and mentor junior team members.

About the Role:

We are searching for a Senior Associate to join our dynamic team to handle day-to-day financial operations and reporting for our diverse portfolio of entities, along with quarterly and month-end closing activities. You will handle traditional accounting duties while gaining unique exposure to Web3 accounting, digital assets, and cryptocurrency reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits, collate testing samples, and prepare accounting memos
• Manage the full-set bookkeeping for up to 20 standalone entities across various jurisdictions (including Hong Kong, Middle East, United Kingdom, Korea, and Cayman Island etc.)
• Handle daily accounting operations including monthly subsidiary funding and cost recharges
• Ensure invoices are prepared correctly and accurately updated in the accounting system
• Verify invoices and agreements to ensure the validity of supporting documents and proper authorization
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the ledger
• Manage Accounts Payable settled in cryptocurrency, ensuring crypto payments are properly recorded and reconciled with on-chain transactions
• Perform ad hoc assignments, including but not limited to accounting standard interpretation and the development of accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide guidance or mentorship to junior team members

Requirements:

• 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of Big 4 audit and commercial accounting, less experience can be considered as a Senior Associate
• QP candidate / CPA is a plus
• Proficiency in modern ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, NetSuite, or Expensify)
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs is essential
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Good time management and an organized approach to tasks
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• A professional and positive attitude, remaining patient and calm under pressure
