We are partnering directly with desk leadership at a premier, founder-funded global proprietary trading firm to hire an exceptional Senior C++ Quant Systems Developer.
In this seat, you will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with quantitative researchers and traders, taking direct architectural ownership of sub-millisecond execution engines, distributed market data ingestion pipelines, and core algorithmic trading infrastructure.
Unlike bureaucratic investment banks with multi-layered change boards or siloed multi-manager hedge funds prone to sudden pod volatility, this platform operates with a flat, engineering-driven ethos: direct codebase ownership, rapid production deployments, petabyte-scale research clusters, and transparent, formulaic desk P&L upside.
What You Will Do
- Architect & Optimize Low-Latency Engines: Design, implement, profile, and tune ultra-low-latency order execution systems, market gateways, and algorithmic trading logic using modern C++ (C++20/C++23).
- High-Throughput Data Infrastructure: Build real-time, fault-tolerant market data feeds and derived data ingestion pipelines capable of handling massive tick volumes across APAC and global liquidity venues.
- Kernel & Systems Profiling: Work down to the bare metal—diagnosing bottlenecks using Linux kernel profiling tools, cache-coherent memory layouts, lock-free concurrency, and hardware-accelerated networking primitives.
- Front-Office Collaboration: Partner directly with quants to translate complex alpha research models into lean, resilient, production-grade trading systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Deep Modern C++ Expertise: 5+ years of production experience writing modern C++ (C++17/20/23), with an obsessive focus on cache locality, template metaprogramming, memory models, and zero-cost abstractions.
- Low-Level Linux & Systems Internals: Strong command of Linux internals, multithreaded architecture, lock-free data structures, asynchronous I/O, and socket-level networking protocols (TCP/UDP, multicast).
- Proven Track Record: Experience building mission-critical distributed systems within high-frequency trading (HFT), top-tier prop desks, market makers, quantitative hedge funds, or low-level telecommunications/networking infrastructure (RF, telecom protocol stacks, Linux kernel engineering).
- Automation & Tooling: Proficient in Python for scripting, backtesting orchestration, and telemetry/data analysis.
- Mindset: Pragmatic problem-solver who prioritizes clean, testable code and thrives in an agile, zero-red-tape environment with direct production impact.
