Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the Critical Services Delivery team. You will design and build IT infrastructure for core mission-critical systems, collaborating with leaders to ensure successful project delivery and adoption of modern technologies.

You will provide SME guidance, manage design and execution, and help automate processes while supporting weekend server setup and testing as needed in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Linux and/or Windows server administration, troubleshooting and security hardening.
• Knowledge in other infrastructure systems such as private cloud, backup and storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and external parties on IT solutions design, planning and execution.
• Play a role in project management such as tracking project deliverables timeline and exceptions.
• Compile project and technical documents such as project plan, technical specifications and test reports.
• Collaborate with the InfoSec/infrastructure engineering and support teams to adopt modern technologies, such as multi-cloud and container orchestration, to enhance manageability.
• Enhance internal processes by adopting automation.
