DBS is seeking an experienced analytics professional to lead Gen AI and agentic AI initiatives for the Investment Product & Advisory business, targeting affluent clients. You will partner with product and advisory heads to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and scale enterprise AI across regional teams.

The role requires 7+ years in data science within financial services, strong Python/PySpark skills, and a solid cloud background (GCP preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in data-related fields.
• 7+ years hands-on data science in financial services, fintech, or wealth management.
• Proven experience building and deploying Gen AI/LLM/Agentic AI in prod.
• Proficient in Python/PySpark and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Strong foundation in AI/ML, NLP, deep learning, and statistical modeling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Gen AI and Agentic AI applications (e.g., Advisory Co-pilot and Automated Sales Surveillance) for the Investment Product & Advisory business targeting the affluent customer segment.
• Assist the Team Lead in executing the analytics roadmap and driving the wider team’s strategic capability shift toward a modern data science-oriented workforce.
• Partner with Product Heads and Advisory Sales Heads to translate business challenges into high-impact data deliverables.
• Build, fine-tune, and evaluate LLMs and autonomous AI agent workflows tailored to wealth management scenarios.
• Develop machine learning solutions to enhance customer targeting, cross-selling, and investment portfolio growth.
• Work closely with Regional teams to implement and scale enterprise AI solutions.
• Ensure all AI models, agentic workflows, and data pipelines strictly comply with the Bank’s governance and risk frameworks.
• Establish continuous evaluation frameworks and monitoring metrics to track model performance, safety, guardrails, and commercial impact.
• Champion data science best practices (MLOps, modular coding, version control) and mentor team members to upskill their machine learning and AI modeling capabilities.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on data science and advanced analytics experience within financial services, fintech, or wealth management.
• Proven hands-on experience in building and deploying Gen AI, LLM applications, or Agentic AI frameworks in a production environment.
• High proficiency in Python/PySpark, and Cloud Computing Platforms (GCP strongly preferred).
• Strong technical foundation in AI (machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and statistical modeling).
• Experience in enterprise BI tools (Qlik Sense is a plus).
• Working domain knowledge of consumer investment products (Equities, Unit Trusts, FX, Fixed Income, Wealth Lending) and frontline advisory sales workflows.
• Proven track record of supporting technological transformations, promoting modern DS tools, and upskilling peers.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into actionable productivity gains for business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional regional tech partners and local business leaders.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese.
