Job summary

You will lead and execute audit engagements for PIE and private clients, plan procedures, supervise juniors, and prepare financial statements under HKFRS/IFRS or Local GAAP. Minimum 3 years' experience; CPA or finalist preferred.

Responsibilities

We are a growing CPA firm seeking a proactive and experienced Audit Associate to join our team. We are specifically looking for a candidate with a background in 2nd Tier audit firms who possesses strong technical skills in PIE (Public Interest Entity) audits. This is a hybrid role that offers variety. While your core focus will be audit, you will also gain exposure to tax compliance and corporate secretarial duties, making this an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded professional.

Key responsibilities

Lead and execute audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, including PIE (Listed/Public Interest Entities) and private companies.

Plan audit procedures, supervise junior staff, and review their work to ensure quality standards are met.

Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners.

Prepare financial statements and audit reports in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., HKFRS/IFRS or Local GAAP).

Handle IRD tax filing (Profits Tax Returns) for clients.

Assist in responding to IRD queries and preparing tax computations.

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

Handle company secretarial duties, including preparation of annual returns (e.g., NAR1), board resolutions, and maintaining statutory registers.

Liaise with the Companies Registry and other government bodies.

Assist clients with ad-hoc accounting and advisory queries.

About you

Minimum 3 years of relevant audit experience.

Prior experience in a 2nd Tier CPA firm is highly preferred.

Demonstrated experience handling PIE audits is a must.

Familiarity with IRD tax filing procedures and company secretarial practices.

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

CPA qualification or finalist is preferred.

Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and possess strong communication skills.
