Job summary

HKEX is seeking a high-calibre professional to join the Risk Systems and Analytics Solutions Team within the Clearing & Depository of HKEX’s Operations Division. The role focuses on strategically important initiatives related to platform upgrade projects.

This renewable contracting role offers potential conversion to permanent staff for high performers. The successful candidate will review requirements, perform UAT planning, and coordinate with IT for resolutions, ensuring on-time project

Qualifications

• University Degree in Risk Management, Engineering or Mathematics.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial organizations.
• Experience in medium or large scale UAT projects.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Familiar with Confluence and JIRA.
• Proficient with Excel, VBA, Python and SQL.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Review user requirements and functional specifications and translate them into test cases


• UAT planning and execution in tight timeline


• Follow up on test cases / scripts and document test results and problem logs in systematic manner


• Assist in maintaining UAT problem logs and coordinate with IT development team to identify the resolution and retest strategy


• Contribute to timely delivery of the project in line with project scope and expectation

Requirements:

• University Degree, preferably in Risk Management / Engineering / Mathematics or related subject


• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in well-established financial organizations


• Experience in medium or large scale project UAT


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Familiar with various project management tools eg. Confluence, JIRA, etc..


• Familiarity with equity derivatives is a plus

Proficient with Excel, VBA and preferably the ability to work with programming languages such as Python and SQL.

• A team player and a self-starter, who can proactively engage with peers and clients, take ownership to ensure timely completion of all deliverables


• Ability to work at a fast pace in a team and adapt style to ensure the project is successful
