Job summary

HTK in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Manager (Logistics and Warehousing) to lead warehouse staff and oversee inventory lifecycle management, ensuring timely delivery of materials and assets across multiple locations.

The role requires coordinating with project teams, vendors and contractors, managing transport, and driving efficiency through process improvements and basic AI/automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Secondary education (F.5) or higher with logistics training is advantageous.
• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics or asset management is preferred.
• Able to safely load, unload and move materials manually or with equipment.
• Familiar with warehouse management systems and inventory scanners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the warehouse staff in overseeing and maintaining network asset inventory, utilization, and lifecycle management.
• Manage logistics operations to support smooth and efficient project rollout and delivery.
• Optimize warehouse utilization and resource allocation to improve operational productivity.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the movement of materials, equipment and network assets to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage transportation, distribution and reverse logistics processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, contractors and stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
• Identify and mitigate logistics risks that may impact project schedules.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Support the asset custodian to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Lead warehouse process improvements through AI, automation, system enhancement, and best practices implementation

To Succeed in the Role

• F.5 or above; a certificate or formal training in Logistics, Supply Chain or Warehouse Management is an advantage
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics or asset management is preferred
• Able to safely load, unload and move materials manually or using equipment
• Comfortable using inventory scanners, warehouse management systems and basic computer applications
• Able to coordinate order collection and dispatch activities with contractors, internal teams and vendors
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail when handling orders, shipments and inventory records
• Able to prepare inventory or productivity reports, conduct stock counts and promptly report discrepancies
• Committed to maintaining warehouse cleanliness, organization and safety standards
• Reliable and able to work independently, collaborate with others and support the warehouse supervisor
• Flexible and willing to work across multiple warehouse locations as assigned
