F's Design House Ltd is seeking an Assistant Interior Designer to join our creative team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to launch or develop your career in interior design within a dynamic and collaborative studio environment. Based in Happy Valley, Wan Chai District, you will work alongside experienced designers to create innovative and compelling interior spaces for our diverse clientele. This role offers hands-on experience across all stages of the design process, from initial concepts through to final implementation, and is integral to delivering the high-quality design solutions that define F's Design House Ltd.
Assisting senior designers in the conceptualisation and development of interior design schemes, including mood boards, colour palettes, and material selections
Producing technical drawings, floor plans, and 3D visualisations using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering programmes
Conducting research on interior design trends, materials, finishes, and furnishings to inform project development
Supporting the preparation of design presentations and proposals for clients, ensuring clarity and visual impact
Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather requirements and communicate design intentions
Managing project documentation, schedules, and budgets under supervision of senior team members
Visiting project sites to assess spaces, take measurements
Contributing creative ideas during team brainstorming sessions and design reviews
Ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and design best practices
A qualification in Interior Design, or a related field such as Architecture, Product Design, or Graphic Design
Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong understanding of spatial design principles, colour theory, materials, and interior design aesthetics
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and team members
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project timelines
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to evolving client needs and design requirements
Familiarity with presentation software and the ability to create compelling visual communications
Preferred: Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software or previous internship in an interior design practice
