Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a capable engineer to assist with smart site technologies on active HK projects. The role focuses on collecting site requirements, researching solutions, and deploying hardware and software for smart construction sites.

You will support system operations, ISO documentation, and the rollout of Smart Site Safety System initiatives, while assisting senior engineers with demonstrations, user guides, and issue escalation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in related disciplines.
• Interest in Smart Site Safety Systems (SSSS/4S), IoT devices and digital construction technologies.
• Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting site requirements, basic research, and testing/deploying smart site technologies.
• Support daily coordination, system operations and maintenance, and ISO compliance documentation.
• Support the execution and implementation of Smart Site Safety System (SSSS/4S) initiatives.
• Assist Senior Engineers in understanding site needs, preparing demonstration materials, and supporting solution implementation.
• Help track project progress, prepare meeting minutes, gather user requirements, and update user guides and system operation manuals.
• Handle front-line user inquiries, provide basic technical troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to Engineers/R&D.

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting site requirements, conducting basic research, and testing and deploying hardware / software for smart construction site technologies.
• Support daily coordination, system operations and maintenance, and preparation of ISO compliance documentation.
• Support the execution and implementation of Smart Site Safety System (SSSS/4S) initiatives.
• Assist Senior Engineers in understanding site needs, preparing demonstration materials, and supporting solution implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Engineering, Construction Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Practical knowledge of, or strong interest in, Smart Site Safety Systems (SSSS/4S), IoT devices, and digital construction technologies.
• Energetic and self-motivated, with good problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
