Job summary

Taiping Reinsurance Co., Ltd. is seeking an actuarial professional to participate in HKFRS 17 valuation and assist with audit responses. The role supports solvency monitoring under HK RBC and Labuan ICAF and contributes to corporate planning for non-life reinsurance.

The ideal candidate holds an actuarial degree and is progressing in professional credentials, with up to five years of relevant experience and strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
• Active progress toward professional actuarial credentials; Associate status is highly preferred.
• Up to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (HKFRS 17, HKRBC) and actuarial principles.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Participate in actuarial valuation under HKFRS 17 and provide support for audit response.
• Participate in solvency monitoring and stress testing under HK RBC and Labuan ICAF.
• Support corporate planning analysis for non-life reinsurance business.
• Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned.
