Job summary

BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited is seeking an actuary to play a key role in IFRS17 financial reporting across our diverse life product spectrum. The role also supports actuarial functions including statutory reporting, embedded value and experience study.

The ideal candidate is near-qualified with at least four years of life actuarial experience, familiar with IFRS17 and GGY Axis, and proficient in English and Chinese. We offer a 5-day week and strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Near-qualified actuary with degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Experience with IFRS17 financial reporting is a definite advantage.
• Knowledge of GGY Axis is definite advantage.
• Experience in asset liability modelling (ALM) is desirable.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).

Job description

The incumbent will play key role on IFRS17 financial reporting of BOC Life’s wide range of life insurance product spectrum, and support actuarial functions including but not limited to statutory reporting, embedded value and experience study.

Job Requirements:

• Near-qualified Actuary with degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years actuarial experience in life insurance industry.
• Experience with IFRS17 financial reporting is a definite advantage
• Knowledge of and experience with GGY Axis are definite advantage
• Experience in asset liability modelling, real world & risk neutral modeling techniques are desirable
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills
• Able to work under pressure & overtime
• Proficient in spoken & written English & Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)

Candidates with less experience will also be considered as Actuarial Associate.
