Job summary

SCOR Life & Health APAC in Hong Kong is seeking a Product Development Actuary to lead regional product development initiatives and deliver strategic actuarial insights across APAC markets. The role collaborates with local market managers and senior management to shape insurance solutions and revenue-critical initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a qualified actuary with 7+ years in life/health insurance, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with executive-level presentations.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary (or close to qualification) with 7+ years in life/health insurance or reinsurance.
• BBA with actuarial, finance, accounting, economics or marketing major.
• Solid understanding of L&H products, reinsurance structures and risk considerations.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and delivering business cases and market insight reports.
• Strong written communication to translate complex actuarial/financial data into clear materials.
• Exposure to IFRS17, RBC solvency frameworks or financial reporting is a plus.
• Experience supporting treaty renewals and cross-market initiatives is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines with execution discipline.

Responsibilities

• Drive rollout of regional product development initiatives with local market managers.
• Produce APAC market intelligence by gathering input, identifying trends, and drawing insights.
• Support APAC senior management deliverables and executive visit presentations.
• Lead the development and delivery of high-impact business cases for new initiatives.
• Assist local markets with product design, insurance solutions and experience analysis.
• Support regional partnership management including treaty materials.
• Help organize regional branding and client-facing communications.
• Provide training to junior team members.
