Christensen Advisory in Hong Kong seeks an Analyst to conduct financial research and analyze market trends for clients and prospects. You will monitor equities, interpret market sentiment, and support in-house research databases and investor materials.
The role requires 1-2 years in relevant fields, strong numeracy, and fluent Mandarin and English, with proficiency in MS Office and data tools. A collaborative team environment and competitive remuneration are offered.
As an Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting research and analyze various financial and capital markets issues, as well as broader industry and macroeconomic trends relevant to our clients and prospects
Analyzing clients’ share price performance, identifying trading patterns, and providing insightful explanations and recommendations
Monitoring consensus estimates on key financials and performance metrics of clients and their peers
Interpreting capital market views and sentiment on clients and their peers
Supporting in-house research on companies and maintaining databases
Preparing, translating, and editing corporate and investor materials, including results announcements, corporate presentations, factsheets, and regular or ad hoc reports
Assisting with ongoing client relationship management and communications
This job may be an excellent fit for you if you possess the followings:
Strong business acumen, with a genuine interest in and solid knowledge of capital markets, advanced data analytics and numeracy skills, and a sound understanding of the financial services industry
A bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Accounting, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline
1-2 years of experience in research, data analysis, investment management, or financial communications; experience in the technology or new economy sectors is an advantage
A sound understanding of financial statements, the global economy, and equity markets
Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills
Proactive, collaborative, and a strong team-player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data visualization tools
Proven experience with financial data platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, Wind)
Fluency in both Mandarin and English
