Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an AI Engineer to join its growing AI and GenAI team within a large global retail organization. You will build production-grade AI applications and agentic workflows with a focus on reliability and scalability.

The role offers a flexible working environment with autonomy and collaboration across Data Science, backend, and platform teams, enabling delivery of cutting-edge GenAI solutions.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or Backend Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain or LangGraph.
• Able to work Independently and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Productionize AI and agent workflows into reliable backend services and pipelines
• Deploy and manage environments across development, testing, and production environments with proper version control and release tracking
• Implement business-specific configurations, SQL templates, and model logic
• Build secure access-control and validation workflows for data and application services
• Improve platform reliability through robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and fail-safe processes
• Develop automated testing and performance testing capabilities
• Monitor AI applications, pipelines, model usage, and operational performance
• Optimize system performance through caching, asynchronous processing, and infrastructure tuning
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Front End Engineers, Business Analysts, QA, and platform teams
